Calling All Parents to Vote YES By Februarry 9th

There are two propositions on the ballot mailed to you that impact Snoqualmie Valley School District children. Please vote YES now for both propositions and mail your ballot on or before February 9th!

Maintenance and Operations (M&O) Levy:

  • Provides almost 20% of funding for day-to-day programs, salaries, and operations.
  • Replaces the current M&O that expires in 2010 (so tax difference is minimal)
  • If not passed, some possible effects include:
    • Cut teachers and increase class sizes
    • Cut librarians, school nurses, counselors, TAs
    • Cuts to athletics, drama, art
    • Cuts to student transportation (busing)

Technology Levy:

  • Tech levies provide almost 100% of school technology funding (Washington State's education funding formula is so old that it does not provide funding for technology in education!)
  • Includes training and support to integrate new technology into classroom curriculum
  • Prepares our students for best success in the 21st century
  • Replaces the current Tech levy (so tax difference is minimal)

The funding from these levies is critical for our students: Vote YES Now! For more information, see the Valley Voters for Education website (www.vvfe.org) or the SVSD District website (www.svsd410.org).
